TataCliq – why it will NOT click.

Yes, may be some of you heard about the recent entry by the TATA group in e-commerce as TataCliq. This is an attempt which will result in “me too” and yeah we have a presence on Internet. This “project” will be a long run by burning more and more money by future leadership/top management but i predict that it will fail to make any presence! Why? Check these ‘me-too’ e-commerce and check for yourself how many times you even visited them, forget about buying anything.

– Croma – yeah its from tata and there is online croma site.
– Patanjali – one of the fastest and giant killer in FMCG. They are also on Internet, but who buys?
– The once upon a time king syndrome – indiatimes.com, rediff e-ecommerce, and beloved e-bay.

Does the TATA think they can fight with amazon/flipkart/snapdeal? Well, the first thing hardly anyone knows about Tata cliq- which means rare clicks and thats why, it wont click!

These attempts are best examples of opportunity lost! TATA focuses more on getting airlines, and physical retail, instead of trying online space, and that too they had TCS, the software factory. They are like Times of India, which was adamant in having a media channel, and see what ABP news /Aaj tak have done to it. Now its playing catching game, but it is impossible to catch hussain bolt, if you give him 3 hours of early advantage..keep trying, keep running, keep changing vision and leadership, and keep burning money, but it wont take you anywhere. 

For readers – have you heard of these two? —- Ajio.com and trendin.com? Well, the first is from reliance and the second from aditya birla group for multi channel presence.
