IPL 2019: Is it Happening? Jubaan Kesariya

Has IPL 2019 started for marketers, Any ad worthwhile to remember or talk about – any sharing of interesting ads on Facebook? Almost nothing is happening. While the matches are awesome but the media communication is almost non-existent and forgettable.

This season Lowe Lintas got the contract by replacing Ogilvy. The first few ads were built around the new heme of GameBanyegaName which is as boring as it could be! Kab aya kab gaya pata hi nahi chala :-)

There is absolute silence on social media. The grand theme of India ka Tyohar is hijacked by —- none other than our election commission 🙂 Very very disappointed with such a grand failure.

Vodafone at least bring back Zoo Zoos for some fun. Also, didn’t notice other brands doing something IPL special – may be busy in Holy Diwali special bullshit!

Swiggy is the one exception – it introduced humorous ads focused on convenience- don’t miss the action and order food online.

However, the brand which delivered the bold from the blue is – even in wildest guess never thought of it.

I think the so called super ad power brands can learn a few lessons and make Juban Kesariya. So the question remains same – Has IPL 2019 started for marketers?
