Samsonite Print Ad: Black Is Beautiful
SSamsonite, a well known premium brand for trolley bags, suitcases and luggage, recently launched its ad campaign. The ad appeared as full page print ad (the very first page) on the leading newspaper Times of India.
The ad features one of the most well known Bollywood faces, Mr Amitabh Bacchhan (Big B). The ad copy reads “The more you’re tested, the more you become …tested like Samsonite‘.
The ad works on rational appeal highlighting the amount and quality of testing that goes in Samsonite products. An interesting feature of the ads is use of black and white colors creating a magnificent elegance about the product, with Big B looking stunning as usual.
The other versions of the campaign feature sports celebrities Mithali Raj and Yuvraj Singh who have shown mettle in Cricket for a long period and proved their worth.
Short video ads have been also created as part of the campaign and mostly posted on online media like YouTube. Video ads show dramatized testing of Samsonite luggage to drive the point of quality and performance to consumers.
The print ad stands out due to excellent and mesmerizing color combination of black and white with strong message of rigorous testing of Samsonite products. A simple yet powerful ad.
